François VAUCONSANT created the company Vauconsant in 1924. This catering equipment supplier has progressively specialised in manufacturing serving counters for bars and from 1972, Vauconsant started focusing on theproduction of foodservice counters for catering sites. In 1996 they launched "Exigence", a new range of servery counters for catering sites and in 1999, they were awarded the Apria prize for innovation in catering units and for the Hofpi range, which they created to equip hospital units.

Vauconsant is known for its 'Reverso' range, a range of products designed for all types of catering sites that offer hot and cold food. Vauconsant also received and innovation award for this innovative range of catering equipment.
